SPEEDOMETER PLATE 1937
This plate is silverplated, but has a white colour. It runs from 0 to 120 mph and has 5mph hash marks only. The numerals and hash marks on the face are black. A black Harley-Davidson bar and shield logo appears at the bottom of the face. The bezel is chrome, the body cadmium plated. The pointer is the clock style (see the picture of the 1938 speedo) in the colour black.
SPEEDOMETER PLATE 1938-1940
This silver plated plate also has a white colour.
The pointer is the clock style. It was used up to 1940 and had the colour black.
Rivets for the 36-40 plates should be nickel.
